At White Oak Psychiatric Services, we are honored to be your partner in mental health care. Our mission and highest priority is to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care during our regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
While we are dedicated to meeting your mental health needs during our regular business hours, we understand that crises can occur unexpectedly at any time. To ensure you have timely access to appropriate care, we have outlined essential steps and resources to help you obtain the support you need when it matters most.
Please be advised that White Oak Psychiatric Services does not operate an after-hours crisis department or an on-call crisis management team. Therefore, we are unable to respond to mental health emergencies outside of our normal business hours.
In the event of an urgent mental health concern or psychiatric emergency occurring after hours, on weekends, or during holidays, please use one of the following community crisis resources to ensure you receive timely and appropriate care:
- For immediate danger (e.g., suicidal thoughts, risk of harm): Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
- Local hospitals with psychiatric services: Research Medical Center, University Health (Truman), University of Kansas Health System, Advent Health (Shawnee Mission), Children’s Mercy Hospital ER, and Crittenton ER.
- Cottonwood Springs Hospital: 24/7 adult emergency mental health services. Call (913) 557-7557.
